GUNFLINT HILLS SOLAR

In the spring of 2010, CCLEP spearheaded an effort that brought together the City of Grand Marais, Cook County, and the Iron Range Resources Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB), to install a solar array at Gunflint Hills, a city-owned golf course. The system is grid-tied, meaning the electricity from the solar panels flows into the electrical grid, which carries the electricity throughout the county.
